Brimming with the kind of attitude that only comes with age, Grace shares what it’s like to fall in love in 1950s Cuba and imparts her wisdom on the recipe for good marriage, but we still don’t know why she still refuses to cook since the day her husband passed.

This short experimental documentary is a touching and personal conversation between filmmaker and her great-aunt, Grace Maya. Brimming the kind of attitude that only comes with age, Grace shares what it’s like to fall in love in 1950s Cuba and uphold her role in a large family of mostly men while archival footage layers her narrative with a curious texture.  She imparts her wisdom of her savored recipes for a full belly and a lasting marriage but we are still left questioning why she refused to cook since the day her husband passed.
